TO HELP politicians in effectively and efficiently managing their election bid for either local or national seats during election, Skillsup Inc., a review, training, testing and IT-related consultancy center located at 124-2 Borromeo St., Cebu City with Tel Nos. 6332-4184023; 6332-4184653, has recently released its new developed software called e-VOTES or Electronic Voters Online Trending and Electoral System.
According to Mr. Francisco B. Bacalla, Vice President for IT related services, that this new developed software can be used in storing all kinds of election related information and statistical data. “But what distinguishes this software from others is its capability of trending on Election Day during precinct level canvassing,” he said.
This new software is used for voters profiling and identification; hence, a candidate will automatically know those voters who are for him or her, for the opponents and the undecided. It automatically summarizes voters per precinct, per barangay, per town, per province and per region. Voters list can be printed by precinct, clan, leaders, party affiliation, gender, address, age bracket and civil status. It calendars the activities of the candidates during campaign period. All communications including memoranda from the candidate to all his staff and far distant trusted leaders can be sent via text or Short Messaging System (SMS).
Mr Bacalla revealed, “The best feature of this technology lies on its capability of directly receiving partial and final results from precinct poll watchers through “text”. It tallies automatically transmitted data in a fast phase without sacrificing data integrity.” The needed information is known right away. The agony of waiting the poll results will be totally eliminated.
For its hardware specification, it must be in a Local Area Network (LAN) with at least a server and a workstation, one (1) unit Nokia cell phone and a four or eight-port switch with UTP cable to be attached to the server.
Any aspiring candidates can avail of this technology for them to effectively implement their campaign strategies and to quickly know the result of the election. Using this new technology can help candidates gauge and ensure their chances of winning.
